Sheheryar Sardar - President, CAMP - New York

Sheheryar Sardar currently serves as the President of CAMP New York and has been an officer with the chapter for the past three years. 

Sheheryar has over nine years of work experience, having co-founded Sardar Law Firm LLC in 2009. Sheheryar focuses on technology, digital media, venture capital and startup law. He has advised clients in the emerging technologies, e-commerce, social media, fashion and film production industries. Sheheryar has been interviewed or featured by numerous media outlets and publications on social media law, including Voice of America at the New York Stock Exchange, The Hedge Fund Law Report, and FOX Sports.  Prior to starting his firm, Sheheryar gained experience at The Coca-Cola Company in its Marketing-Legal Division; Cisco Company - Scientific Atlanta; Kriz & Belina, a leading Prague-based commercial law firm; and the U.S. Department of Labor. Sheheryar earned a J.D. from Emory University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Georgia State University. He has also completed coursework in international arbitration at the University of Paris, Pantheone-Sorbonne.

Sheheryar recently co-authored the book Sandstorm. a leaderless revolution in the digital age, widely praised for its acute analysis of the role of a global generation using social media to sustain its voice during the Egyptian uprising. It's available in paperback and on the Kindle, as well as being taught by a faculty member at Harvard's Kennedy School.  Sheheryar is currently a nominated board member of the International Trade Committee of the NYC Bar Association.

Sheheryar is a part-time ninja, with a black belt in Karate, and frequently channels his inner Van Gogh by engaging in late-night art marathons.

Saima Khan - Vice President, CAMP - New York

Saima Khan has served as the Vice President of CAMP-NY since 2009. She became involved with CAMP  NY as a volunteer in early 2008.  Saima went on to become the Director of Internal and External Affairs in late 2008. 

Saima earned a Masters in Health Services Administration (M.H.S.A) and a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio and also holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She is a certified Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt,  and currently works as a Director of Business Transformation for Affinity Health Plan, a large health insurance company in Bronx, NY.   Her most recent projects have included corporate-wide program implementations, qualitative root cause analysis and trending, business process redesign, strategic planning with executive leadership, process improvements, and lean events.  Prior to working in New York City, Saima worked for TriHealth, a large health system in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Business Analyst in the department for Performance Improvement and Consulting, and as a Program Manager in the department of SeniorLink, a Medicare program focused on providing home-based healthcare to seniors. 

Saima also currently serves as a Board Member of the Association of Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP), and has been recognized as a Muslim Leader of Tomorrow (MLT) by the ASMA Societ in 2009.  She actively coordinates and volunteers her time to various community service projects, including soup kitchens, park clean-up efforts, and fundraising for food pantries.  Saima is also an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). 

Yusef Ramelize - Officer, CAMP - New York

Yusef has over 8 years of work experience and is currently a Production and Creative Manager at Informa Healthcare. He manages one of Informa's largest monthly magazines, (BioProcess International) which covers the entire bio-pharmaceutical process from discovery to development and manufacturing.

Yusef is also the Founder and Project Director of HomelessForOneWeek.com, an annual initiative that he started in 2009 to raise awareness about homelessness in New York City.  In the Summer of 2010, Yusef was nominated as NY1 News Queens Person Of The Week for his charitable efforts in shedding light on Homelessness.

Yusef's online portfolio (www.YusefRamelize.com) is comprised of a range of graphic design projects that he has worked on over the past years. Some of the non profit and Muslim organizations that he has worked with include  CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations),  A Day of Dignity (Islamic Relief),  FAST-A-THON (NYU Islamic Center), ELAN Online Magazine, Sauti Yetu and Greendeenbook.com

Yusef holds a BFA in Electronic Design and Multimedia from the City College of New York.
