Tawfiq Farraj - President, CAMP - Chicago
Tawfiq Farraj currently serves as the President of the CAMP - Chicago chapter and has been with CAMP Chicago since 2010.
Professionally Tawfiq is an admissions advisor at the Keller Graduate School of Management. Previously, Tawfiq was a Financial Representative for Country Financial in Chicago where he closely tailored financial plans for individuals.
On behalf of CAMP - Chicago, he also devotes his time to working with the Jewish Muslim Community Building Initiative for Café Finjan and Iftar in the Synagogue in order to foster stronger community ties between the Muslim and Jewish populations in Chicago.
Tawfiq earned a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Illinois. He is currently earning a Masters of Financial and Accounting Management.
Uzair Ali - Vice President, CAMP - Chicago
Uzair Ali currently serves as the Vice President of the CAMP - Chicago chapter. He was previously an officer from 2012-2013, and a member before that.
Uzair studied at the University of Michigan, where he earned both his Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering and his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works at Citrix Systems, where he is a Senior Consultant in the field of Virtualization Technology and Cloud Computing.
In his free time, Uzair enjoys volunteering, reading, the outdoors, movies, and spending time with family/friends.
Herra Iqbal - Director of Communications, CAMP - Chicago
Herra Iqbal currently serves as the Director of Communications – Chicago chapter. She moved to Chicago in 2012 and became involved with CAMP shortly after in 2013 in an effort to become involved with the Chicago Muslim community.
Herra earned her bachelors degrees in Human Biology and Economics from the University of California, San Diego. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in Business Administration concurrently at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently works at the Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, a behavioral mental health agency. She is responsible for working on housing initiatives for individuals transitioning out of state institutions and into individual and community homes. In addition, she is responsible for working on various projects to expand behavioral health resources in the greater Chicagoland area.
Herra enjoys spending her time giving back to her community and developing new relationships with those around her. She hopes to pursue a career in Hospital administration—but if all else fails, she’ll be happy photographing and traveling the world.
Muqtadar Ahmed - Officer, CAMP - Chicago
Muqtadar has more than 10 years of experience managing and supporting large-scale engagements assisting clients with transactions, growth strategy and operations consulting. His experience spans financial services, energy, technology and manufacturing sectors. He currently works as a Manager at Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. Prior to joining EY, he was a consultant at Accenture where he successfully led and supported several large-scale strategy and transformation projects.
Muqtadar was a founding member of International Leadership Forum (ILF) at Cornell, an organization whose mission was to provide a platform for distinguished leaders of developing and emerging countries to voice their perspectives on global events. He also served as a member of the Executive Committee at Islamic Dawah Foundation (San Antonio, TX) where he was the Director of Al-Bayaan, a local Islamic newspaper. Additionally, as a Johnson Board Fellow, he served as a Board member at Paleontological Research Institution (Ithaca, NY) where he advised the organization on restructuring organizational governance and on fundraising strategy.
Muqtadar moved to Chicago from Austin, TX in 2011. He holds a M.B.A. in Strategy and Finance from Cornell University, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
