Asma Hashmi - President, CAMP - Chicago

Asma Hashmi serves as President of the CAMP - Chicago Chapter. Intermittently since 2004, she has held various Board positions as well as serving as an advisor.
Asma has several years of experience in the human resource and recruiting industries, where she has worked as an independent consultant for several Fortune 500 clients. Her expertise includes recruitment process outsourcing, account management, organizational development, career counseling, and performance improvement.
She was a Founding Board Member and Director of Personal Development for the Muslim Women’s Alliance (MWA) while also being actively involved with Inner-city Muslim Action Network (IMAN), a community-based nonprofit and was one of the organizing leaders for the urban festival, Takin’ it to the Streets. In addition to volunteering at several non-profit and professional organizations, Asma loves to travel the world and learn about different cultures.
Asma holds a M.A. in Human Performance Improvement from Roosevelt University and a B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University.
Tawfiq Farraj - Vice President, CAMP - Chicago

Tawfiq Farraj currently serves as the Vice President of the CAMP - Chicago chapter and has been with CAMP Chicago since 2010.
Professionally Tawfiq is an admissions advisor at the Keller Graduate School of Management. Previously, Tawfiq was a Financial Representative for Country Financial in Chicago where he closely tailored financial plans for individuals.
On behalf of CAMP - Chicago, he also devotes his time to working with the Jewish Muslim Community Building Initiative for Café Finjan and Iftar in the Synagogue in order to foster stronger community ties between the Muslim and Jewish populations in Chicago.
Tawfiq earned a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Illinois. He is currently earning a Masters of Financial and Accounting Management.
Sunia Khatri - Director of Communications, CAMP - Chicago

Sunia Khatri currently serves as Director of Communications - Chicago Chapter. She's been volunteering and participating on various events for CAMP since joining in 2009.
Sunia currently works for Abbott Labs as a Business Systems Analyst providing digital marketing support and services for Abbott's International Affiliates.
As part of her extra curricular activities, she helps manage the Learn and Earn initiative with the United Way of Lake County - this program provides families with free basic computer skills training to empower parents to help their children succeed academically. She also enjoys participating in various volunteering opportunities in the Chicagoland area.
Sunia has earned a B.A. in 2009 from DePaul University where she double majored in Psychology and Information Technology (IT).
Uzair Ali - Officer, CAMP - Chicago

Uzair Ali moved to the Chicago region in 2010 and became involved with CAMP shortly thereafter as a way to meet other Muslim professionals in the region. This is his first year serving as an officer on the CAMP board.
Uzair studied at the University of Michigan, where he earned both his Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering and his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works at Citrix Systems, where he is a Senior Consultant in the field of Virtualization Technology.
In his free time, Uzair enjoys volunteering, reading, the outdoors, movies, and spending time with family/friends. He previously organized a golf lesson for CAMP, teaching members a valuable business networking skill.
