CAMP Philadelphia is pleased to announce that our last official quarterly event of the year will be held on Friday Oct 9th2015.  You are cordially invited to attend our Eid ul Adha celebration - MECCA IN THE CITY -  where we will showcase the ARTS with a FORMAL networking dinner.

  • When traveling on Belgrade St., turn onto Wilmot St and within 1 block the street has a dead end where you will see a church parking lot.  This lot has been reserved for events at Polonia Hall.  After parking, walk 1 block back towards Belgrade St, and you will see the hall to your left.

We are excited to welcome guest speaker Saks Afridi, a Pakistani native and multidisciplinary artist and free lance Creative Director with 17 years of both US and global experience.

He is the proud recipient of 2 Gold Cannes, 3 D&AD,One Show Pencils and a United Nation Award

for Peace and Understanding in 2015.  His main mediums in art are sculpture, installations, and digital media.  He is also one half of the artist duo BOLO (

As a Creative Director in Advertising, his clients have included Mercedes BenzSmart CarTic Tac and MTV to name a few.  Prior to advertising, Saks co founded Green Soap Design, a digital design firm in San Francisco.  Saks works seamlessly between digital and traditional advertising and sees no difference between the two, as ideas are at the core of everything, regardless of platform.

His work has been featured in The New York Times, The GuardianViceHuffington PostAl Jazeera,CNN, MashableBuzzfeedUpworthy, and The Colbert Report. Suzie Afridi

The event also features special guest stand up comedian Suzie Afridi who will be performing live.

Suzie was born and raised in the West Bank in Jericho, the youngest of six kids in a Greek Orthodox Christian family.  Her father was a welder and her mother was an unsuccessful farmer.

Suzie's comedy focuses on world affairs, through the perspective of a Palestinian mom raising an 8 year old boy with her artist husband (Saks Afridi), living on the upper west side in Manhattan.  To see more of her bio, please visit:
