CAMP Philadelphia is pleased to announce that our first event of the year will be on Sunday Feb 232014.  We will be hosting a brunch at The Hilton on Arch St in center city Philadelphia. We are very excited about bringing together the diverse Muslim professionals working in the greater Philadelphia area and hope that you will be among them.   Come meet the new officers, learn about upcoming events, and network with other Muslim professionals.

We welcome speaker Tanzina Chowdhury, who works as a patent attorney doing independent consulting.  Tanzina has 14 years of global IP experience prosecuting, litigating, licensing, conducting extensive due diligence, and assessing patentability and freedom to operate issues and regulatory issues of first impression to support a company's business objectives. Tanzina was a patent attorney at Mayer Brown, one of the top internationally recognized law firms, GE - #1 ranked corporate legal department in the U.S, Intercat, and Cristal.

implemented an international intellectual property strategy to maximize global IP life cycles and successfully prosecuted over 450 patent applications to issuance aligned with business

needs by considering competitor presence, legal enforceability, and detectability in a cost effective manner. Tanzina also advised CEO, R&D leaders, and upper management on freedom-to-operate, collaboration agreements, in- and out-licensing deals, and joint ventures to meet business goals.


Tanzina also has offensive and defensive IP litigation experience at a top international firm Mayer Brown and premier corporation and 8 years of extensive demonstrated competency and proficiency in implementing preventive litigation best practices as 1st in-house IP counsel for a company.

Tanzina holds a law degree from Loyola University and a BS degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Chicago. She is a member of American Corporate Counsel (ACC) patent committee, and IPO US patent law committee. She is also a member of the NYC Bar Association patent committee and serves as a science fair judge for grade school to high school students.
