Regardless of the pace of our busy professional lives and demands at home, it's imperative that professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners comprehend current economic developments in the US and in the global financial markets, in order to gauge how these macro issues may affect us personally. Adnan Shamsi of PEGG | Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc. joins us for a lively discussion, which includes an easily digestible overview of the European Debt Crisis, Standard & Poor's downgrade of the US Credit rating, the rancourous US Debt Ceiling debate, and why this summer's equity markets have felt more like an extreme roller coaster ride. Followed by Q&A.

Adnan Shamsi has over twenty years of experience advising Individuals and Corporations on the mitigation of financial and operational risk. Mr. Shamsi specializes in Risk Advisory & Asset Management at the Professional Economic Growth Group | Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc. He was previously with UBS AG, world's largest wealth management firm, and with Bank of America and Chase Manhattan Bank. Recently, Mr. Shamsi has appeared at several industry associations and conferences, including the largest gathering of an ethnic Physicians Convention, where he'd been speaking about the potential for the market crisis before it re-emerged this summer.
